Nigel on Skype

Nigel isn't really on Skype. He's getting a language lesson on YouTube from Herbie about "How to Talk Like a Corgi."

Nigel on Campus at USD

Here's a picture of Nigel taken in August 2011. Here he shows that he's lost a lot of his excess weight and is a happy and healthy Corgi. Since arriving in April, he's lost about five or six pounds. He enjoys long walks, has learned to play with a ball and LOVES rides in the car.

Welcome Nigel

Nigel is the newest member of our family. He came to us from the Council Bluffs, IA shelter where his time was about to "run out." All we know about him is that he was surrendered by his previous person/family. When we got him he weighed in at almost 36 pounds, had excessively long nails, soft pads on his paws, didn't like soft kibble, needed a complete dental cleaning, had really bad breath and, a horrible case of diarrhea. Since then he's been to the good doctor twice, had his teeth cleaned, nails trimmed and is now current on all his vaccinations. He's transitioned to our new healthy diet of dry Flint River Ranch kibble with a squirt of fish oil twice daily. His breath is fresh. His feet aren't sore anymore. He loves to go for long walks with his brother Fletcher and his two sisters Audrey and Maizy. And he's lost almost two pounds.

Nigel is a real people Corgi. He is abundantly affectionate. Come visit sometime and see for yourself.
