When I started this blog in 2007 it was intended to more-or-less chronicle my repair and restoration work on our 1916 arts and crafts bungalow in South Dakota. Those posts still exist, but we we no longer live in South Dakota. So rather than abandon the blog, my refreshed aim is to broaden the topics to include the myriad goings on in my beloved workshop and sanctuary as well as anything else that may come to mind. These may involve Corgis, so be forewarned.

This frigidness is excellent, though, for detecting leaks in your house's thermal envelope. There are special camaras for this job, but these days all you have to do is snoop around and feel where your nose gets cold.
