For friends who have asked for pictures of my latest restoration and repair projects, I’ve refreshed this 2007 blog. Better than texting lots of snapshots. The original subject house of the blog was a 1916 arts & crafts bungalow. Today we’re in a 1936 fixer upper. And I still contend that the most destructive tool is a paintbrush.

This frigidness is excellent, though, for detecting leaks in your house's thermal envelope. There are special camaras for this job, but these days all you have to do is snoop around and feel where your nose gets cold.
